OVERVIEW
On June 24th, over 1,000 young people gathered in Can Tho City for the “Clean Water Festival – Can Tho Youth 2017”, a vibrant and meaningful community event aimed at raising awareness about clean water conservation and environmental protection.
This program formed part of the city's larger Summer Volunteer Campaign, with a focus on educating and engaging youth to take action on sustainable water usage — especially in areas facing water scarcity.

OBJECTIVES
- Promote water-saving habits among youth and the broader community
- Empower young people to act as change agents in environmental protection
- Contribute to the goal of saving 1 billion cubic meters of clean water nationwide by 2020
- Provide a platform for fun, learning, and teamwork through creative engagement activities


EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
🌱 Opening Ceremony
A call to action for youth across Can Tho to contribute to sustainable water conservation, with strong support from local youth organizations and environmental partners.
🎯 Interactive Activities
Participants joined in a series of outdoor group games and challenges designed around water-related themes — requiring physical coordination, problem-solving, and team strategy.
🧠 Knowledge Sharing
Youth received practical knowledge on clean water use, water-saving tips, and the broader impact of environmental protection on rural communities.
💧 Social Message Activation
Through gamified participation and storytelling, the event contributed to the national clean water movement, inspiring participants to pledge to reduce wasteful consumption.
